Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a procedure that alters the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. The aim is to improve the appearance of the area surrounding the eyes and to improve vision obscured by drooping eyelids. This is achieved by a small incision to the upper eyelids to remove excess skin and possibly a small amount of fat restoring your eyelids to a more youthful appearance. The incision is hidden in the upper eyelid crease and once healed not noticeable.

Sometimes descending eyebrows can lead to sagging eyelids. This can also contribute to an aged appearance of the upper eyelids. Our doctor may recommend a brow lift for further rejuvenation of the eyelid area.
