The meaning of the term Q switching is a technique for obtaining energetic short (but not ultrashort) light pulses from a laser by modulating the intracavity losses and thus the Q factor of the laser resonator. The technique is mainly applied for the generation of nanosecond pulses of high energy and peak power with solid-state bulk lasers.
The Q -Switch laser will only target the brown and dark pigment spots without affecting the surrounding skin by creating an invisible beam of light that specifically targets the brown pigment or melanin present in the dark spots without having any affect on the surrounding skin. The pigment absorbs the laser energy and gets fragmented within the skin’s tissues, thereby giving you a more even skin tone.
What can I expect during treatment?
You feel a burning sensation on the treated area for several minutes. The level of burning sensation also depends on you skin sensitivity level. Eventually the treated spots will become darker and form a crust. The crusted spots might take even up to 14 days to heal and you must ensure your follow your aftercare protocol to heal properly.
