Everything you need to know about Thread Face Lifts

The innovative facial rejuvenation procedure designed to gently elevate sagging brows, cheeks, jowls and neck. It is a less invasive alternative to traditional facelifts, resulting in lesser downtime, making it by far more convenient than a full facelift.

Why Thread lifts are so popular:

Because it is a much quicker procedure with less downtime than a conventional facelift, a thread lift has been gaining more popularity amongst potential candidates looking to combat signs of aging such as sagging brows, upper and lower cheeks, jowline, marionette lines, naso-labial fold lines and neck. We use the best threads to achieve the best result for our clients, these include Silhouette Soft and PDO threads.

What happens during the procedure:

During a thread facelift, the cosmetic surgeon inserts thin bidirectional absorbable thread cones into the face through tiny incisions made into the targeted area. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face. Almost immediately, treated areas will be raised slightly, eliminating sagging and giving patients a rejuvenated appearance. Further to an instant lift, the results will further improve over time by stimulating collagen production in the areas of concern. Volume is restored and wrinkles are reduced giving your skin a more youthful appearance.

Am I a suitable candidate:

A thread lift is recommended for men and women who are in their 30s to 60s who are trying to combat effectively the signs of ageing, who do not want any heavy and invasive treatment, but are looking for real and natural results. The treatment is suitable for all skin types, however is not recommended if you are allergic or sensitive to biomaterials.

Who performs the Thread lift procedure:

All thread lift procedures should only be performed by highly trained professionals. In our case Dr. Mark Jeffery.

How long will my result last and when do I see them?

Results will be seen immediately post treatment, but will progressively improve over the following 6 weeks- 6 months. The result time will vary from client to client depending on your health, lifestyle and skincare regime. Clients can expect for the result to last for at least 18 months typically. Threads stimulate the skins natural collagen production and improves the skins elasticity.

Are there any side effects ?

A Thread lift is a very safe procedure and complications are extremely rare. Minor complications may include temporary swelling and bruising. Patients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation following the treatment but this subsides over a few weeks.
